Kiefer offically came off the supplemental oxygen on Dec 11, 2009. What a wonderful early Christmas present for us all. Here are some pictures of his lovely, tape-free cheeks!

Kiefer meet the Ocean, Ocean meet Kiefer

We took Kiefer to the beach for the first time. We headed up the coast to get away from the lingering smoke from the fire in LA. We spent our afternoon at Zuma Beach in Malibu. Kiefer loved the sand, was not too sure about the cold Pacific Ocean, but he gave it a try!

Kiefer will get his doc-band helmet off for good in two weeks - yea! I was determined to capture his head scratching before then. Everynight when we take his helmet off, Kiefer gets a good head scratch in. But then, of course, the video went in another direction...
