It has been raining in SoCal and we were on the way to Kiefer's haircut. And well, I guess this is the song that they learned at school. The audio is bad because I took it on my blackberry, but Kiefer uses both his high and low voice and really sticks the end...you'll get the idea!

So Kiefer's class put on a HOLIDAY SHOW. And it was a sight to behold - full of all the magic and spectacle that is that is this holiday season.
Michelles assures me that just the night before ALL the kids in K's class were singing along and ALL doing the hand motions at rehearsal.
That was not the case during the show.
They started with "Bah Bah Black Sheep" and Kiefer used that time to find a way to get to Mommy at the back of the classroom...
So then they sang "It's Cold Outside" and Kiefer tried again.
Same results...
Kiefer was helping Daddy show how the new fence works. But he walked up the side of the house and there was a HORRIBLE accident!
Better to let him explain...with a little help from Daddy...

And then since Mommy was making such a cool looking chicken on the BBQ, I thought that I would show that on the blog as well!
Now, pay attention because Mommy does confirm that Kiefer did indeed fall down on his little jaunt down the side of the house.
Which leads to a video I have entitled "Kiefer and the Boo Boo"...
So then after Kiefer goes through the fence, I thought I would take a nice wide shot to show the length of the fence run which allows Bailey to run behind the metal shed and keeps him in the back corner near Daddy's office!
Now pay attention because as I do, Mommy heads after Kiefer...
So this is the new fence that Grandpa Pierre and Daddy built in the backyard to keep the dog and his business out of Kiefer's play area. And Kiefer of course mastered opening and closing the door after like the first day.
So, I thought it would be good to use him to demonstrate the fence! He goes through no problem...but then looks back mischievously as he decides to walk up the side of the house in his crocs. Or as they have been come to be known in our house "my wat-ah shows" (my water shoes) because he wears them every Wednesday at school on water-play-day!
Mommy's flowers (or flow-ners in Kiefer speak) always looked so bad in the backyard. That is until we realized that someone in the Basler household in Burbank actually has a green thumb.
We like to think of it that way instead of free child labor. Kiefer likes to water the plants...he really does... And the dirt, and the fence, and over the fence into the neighbors yard, but MOSTLY the flow-ners...
This is just a sampling of how great the official wedding video will be...Yes, I had my flip video with me and Yes, I had one of the best seats in the house. And Yes, the official video comes with the official locker room tee shirt, and locker room hat worn by our wedding champions Anthony and Heidi just moments after they walked down the aisle!
So we are taking a break from the Kiefer videos to show some updates on the remodeling of our house. And Kiefer and Michelle and Bailey are taking a break from the house while all the craziness is going on.
So. Here is our new front door design. Pretty cool, huh.
I am here alone. And yes, I lay claim to the dumpster...

This is the new switch for the whole house fan. The hole they made and then realized that we had a pocket door...oops..and the whole house fan installed in the dinig room ceiling!
Daddy sort of plays computer baseball (badly) and Kiefer likes to swing too...

Okay. So let's see how many times Kiefer gets distracted while mommy tells him that they have to to go the neighbor Sybille's house (she is on vacation) to get her mail...
Aaaah, so much fun...
Watch and you'll see that Kiefer says "yuck" only after he almost puts the dirty cup in his mouth. This kid is ALL boy!

So there is nothing really special about this video. Just a day in the life. Kiefer is happy to find Daddy and he seems to know that he is being recorded. I mean he does seem to be performing for the camera doesn't he?
Michelle likes that fact that Kiefer just pushes the dog out of the way. Yes, Bailey is barking at his bucket of food because his bowl is empty. He is oh, so neglected since the arrival of the baby!

One...Two...Free!!!
The big news is our house is that Kiefer is talking!
He is saying words all the time. Some words we don't even know what they mean, but the boy likes to talk. So I figured I could capture it on video for all to see. I say "One...Two.." and Kiefer says "Fruh" which of course is short for "Free" which in Kiefer means "Three"!
He does a little better with "Ready, Set...GO!"
